Using his experience working with various materials and at a long-established bag manufacturer, he arrived at cowhide leather.


"Mostro Leather"


Made from Japanese cowhide that ages beautifully.

At first, it has a matte texture, but the more you use it, the oil inside the leather will rise to the surface,

It creates a refined luster.




"This will give it the look of a real antique door..."



With this conviction, we decided to move forward with this leather.

From here on, it was a truly thorny path.

| Encounter with Tomi Glass

Although we knocked on the doors of many glass manufacturers,

"A fusion of leather and glass?"
"Unbreakable glass?"
"In the first place, glass is bound to break when used in everyday items."

However, he was repeatedly refused permission to manufacture the glass he envisioned.

There was also the option of using unbreakable acrylic instead of glass.

｜ We want to be completely committed to authenticity

But I really wanted to stick to the real thing.

To achieve this, the most important task is to first dispel the notion that "glass = breakable."

We negotiated with glass manufacturers over and over again,
Just when I was about to give up, I came across a glass manufacturer.


Tomi Glass Co., Ltd.


Although it is a long-established glass manufacturer in the historic downtown area of Tokyo,
A company culture with a strong spirit of challenge,
They immediately hit it off and began joint development




We proceeded with the prototyping of custom tempered glass that was extremely shatterproof and reproduced stained glass designs.



After repeated experiments, we finally achieved a strength that allows it to be used without worry in everyday life.
The design also uses a gradient print,
Successfully creating a realistic textured look

Glass that is hard to break even with everyday use

It's nearly complete, and it took about a year and a half to get to this point.


All you have to do is create the design you envision...




The number of processes and parts involved is unimaginable when making regular bags and accessories.

And some parts are too small to sew.



We re-sewed it over and over again, corrected the design, and adjusted the shape.

After much trial and error,
Ultimately, by modifying the sewing machine parts themselves,

I managed to sew it beautifully.
